After studying mechanical engineering in Modena, Giorgio Bonaguro rounded off his studies with a double Masters in Industrial and Interior Design at Milan’s Scuola Politecnica di Design and worked with a number of studios and designers, AMDL (Michele De Lucchi) and Marco Romanelli, from whom he learnt about the process of product development. Buoyed up by these experiences, he continued his adventure in the world, broadening his own horizons. He works as an independent professional in a number of different fields: from product to interior and lighting design, with incursions into the worlds of jewellery, packaging and art. In his work, he always tries to balance a linear style with his desire for research and the crossover of materials. But what he really wants is to create good quality products at accessible prices for truly social and more sustainable design. His mantra is to stay true to function and emotion in a bid to improve everyday life through design. His clients include Driade, Valsecchi1918, La Lampe, Mint Gallery London, and the Luisa Delle Piane Gallery.
